Family of 2 year Albury boy desperately needs your help

Country Hope is issuing an urgent plea for community support for a fundraising campaign for Albury’s Adeney family, as they face the unimaginable just weeks out from Christmas, with their two-year-old son, Jeremy given just months to live - but heartbreakingly it could be as little as days.

Jeremy is a bright and affectionate toddler who loves Bluey, dinosaurs, cars, and trucks. He is a devoted big brother to eight-month-old Theodore and adored by his sisters Veronica (6) and Bethany (4).

The toddler’s medical team has confirmed to his parents Natasha and Peter, Jeremy is in end-stage Restrictive Cardiomyopathy, a rare and incurable heart condition. With no further treatment options remaining, Jeremy is now on the highest possible dosages of medication. His health is deteriorating quickly, and he requires urgent care and frequent admissions to Albury Hospital, often without warning.

The young family are under enormous emotional and financial pressure and fearful of losing their 2-bedroom Lavington unit, as Peter is forced to continue working, to keep a roof over their heads and food on the table. Country Hope is urgently seeking community assistance to give Natasha and Peter what they need most: financial freedom to spend uninterrupted, meaningful time with their little boy.

100% of funds raised through the Just Giving campaign – that has no admin fees – will flow directly to the Adeney family to lift the burden of financial stress. Support is aimed at helping cover essential living costs including mortgage repayments, groceries and household essentials, counselling and bereavement support, domestic assistance including cleaning and utility bills.

“The last thing Natasha and Peter want to do is ask for this help, but it is clear to us they desperately need it. Easing these huge financial pressures will let the family spend precious time together as a family, provide space to make meaningful, lasting memories and give them peace of mind during the most fragile moments of Jeremy’s short life,” Regional Coordinator Kristy McMahon said.

“No parent can prepare for this journey, and Country Hope is determined to ensure no parent should ever have to walk it alone. Your donation is more than financial assistance for Natasha and Peter – it is the gift of time, presence, and love for a family facing the truly unthinkable,” Mrs McMahon said.
