Wagga Wagga Takes 2

Wagga Takes Two was a great success this year, raising over $500k for various charities in the Wagga area. The performers were wonderful and put in countless hours with their mentors and then put on three spectacular concerts. Our man, Nathon Irvin, worked tirelessly to raise funds for us and then went on stage and was brilliant. His coach and co-performer, well know Wagga entertainer, Shelly McCormack, were entertaining and professional and wowed the large crowds.

Nathon personally raised $34,513 for Country Hope! What a remarkable effort. He is better known as the inspirational coach of the MCU Goannas in the Riverina Football League but is now also known as a great singer and dancer!

Tom Looney attended the presentation night and received the cheque from Shelley and thanked the WWT2 committee for their efforts in breaking their own fund raising record.

Many of our own volunteers helped in the fund raising activities including the Latin Dance Night, the Marathon Bike Ride, Bollywood Night, Bunnings BBQ’s and a host of other activities.

Overall, it was an inspirational promotion that was of benefit, not only to Country Hope, but many other local charities.
