Indyanna's Story
In August 2024, our lives took an unexpected turn when our beautiful 2 ½-year-old daughter, Indyanna, began acting unlike herself. Restricted movement, constant fatigue, & changes in her temperament led us to seek medical help. It was then that we received the life-altering news: a mass on Indyanna’s brain.
The following days were a whirlwind of scans, surgeries, and unimaginable worry. Despite a challenging surgery, chemotherapy, platelet transfusions, and fighting a viral infection, Indyanna’s spirit never wavered. She faced every obstacle with the strength of a true warrior.
Needing to be flown to Sydney for treatment meant being far from home and our extended family, adding to the emotional and logistical challenges.
Today, Indyanna is back on her feet, running around with her brothers and participating in physiotherapy and occupational therapy to regain the full function of her right hand. Her journey is far from over, but she continues to smash goals and show incredible resilience.
The emotional and financial toll of ongoing care and medical bills has been overwhelming. However, the support from Country Hope has been a beacon of hope for our family. From day one, they have provided financial assistance with travel, accommodation, and other unexpected expenses that have cropped up during this difficult time, easing our burden significantly. We are eternally grateful for the love and assistance we have received during this challenging journey.
